February 2013.

Kuito — The governor of Central Bié province, Álvaro Manuel de Boavida Neto, said today, in Kuito city, that the local government will continue to invest in improving health care to populations during fiscal year of 2013.

Speaking at a press conference, Álvaro Manuel de Boavida Neto stressed that the government expects, by 2013, raising new hospital infrastructures, with the aim of enhancing the quality of services provided to communities.

The central Bie province, said the governor, has 141 health facilities, with a total of 1,634 beds, adding that the provincial government and partners are aware of the concerns of communities.

Health units, the source noted, included a provincial hospital, eight district hospitals, five maternal infant centers, 35 health centers, 85 dispensaries and six missionary hospitals.
